Fanore Surf Adventure

  • Be the first to review

Duration: 300 minutes

Get into the tides at one of the west of Ireland's most gorgeous beaches, Fanore in Co Clare. If you're like me, a day without the sea is only partly lived. Walk along the sandy beach, hike in the dunes, or surf the best possible waves for a traveler to the Burren. If you're a seasoned surfer or a beginner, experienced coaches at ALOHA surf school will provide you with all you need for a day out you'll never forget. From May till the end of October, two hour courses are available daily, weather conditions permitting, to surfers aged 8 years and up, as well as rentals for day trippers who want to brave the waves on their own. You'll be amazed by the setting, enchanted by the surf, you won't want to miss out!

What we'll be doing

We will meet at the Quay in Kinvarra, Co Galway then wind our way over the coastal road to Fanore. It's 33.5 km, a forty minute journey. Breathtaking scenery along the way including a cascade, glacial erratic stones, a local fishing spot, and a medieval tower house. You'll be greeted by Pete and Ali at ALOHA surf school where you'll be equipped with a board and wet suit. If you choose one, surf or SUP lessons are two hours long, morning or afternoon. Reduced price for children. It's also possible to rent a suit or board only. Warning, you may have the time of your life testing your skills in the water! In the event of adverse weather conditions, a cancellation is possible.
