Thwaite Howe - a country house built of local stone in the 1860s, is situated in its own attractive acre of grounds. Thornthwaite Forest provides a stunning backdrop to the rear, and the house stands in an elevated position looking across the Derwent Valley to the magnificent mountain views of Skiddaw, Blencathra and Helvellyn.

We place great emphasis on creating an atmosphere of friendliness and informality, offering value for money and a hearty Cumbrian Breakfast, prepared from the freshest of local produce.

A full english breakfast is available each morning with a selection of cerials,fruit juice, Tea or Coffee etc. Packed Lunches can be provided providing the order is placed before 1900 the evening before requirement

Other policies: Rates above for Fell View and double or twin occupancy are based on two persons sharing. If single occupancy is required of these rooms a £10 per night single supplement is applicable. All tariffs above are per person per night. Special breaks are subject to availability, and may not be available during holiday periods. Children under 2 years of age are free of charge. Children 2 to 10 years are charged at £20.00 per child per night when sharing room with parents. Children 11 to 15 years are charged at £25.00 per child per night when sharing room with parents. Full adult rate applies to 16 years and over.
