PROPERTY DESCRIPTION

Plum Tree is one of four self catering cottages in Brittany that have been restored to provide modern conveniences whilst retaining all the charm of a typical French farmhouse. Leaving in lots of the original features, like granite walls and exposed oak beams. Set in 2 acres of secure gardens with views over undulating farmland. A perfect place for all the family to enjoy, children can play in the heated pool, while the parents relax under a tree with a good book and a glass of wine.

Plum Tree is a typical French family cottage, open plan living so no one gets left out of the holiday - The ground floor consists of an open plan lounge/ kitchen /dining area, so Mum doesn't feel left out of the holiday and stuck in the kitchen. The comfortable lounge/ dining area has a log burner, some granite walls and exposed oak beams. The well equipped kitchen area has a door leading to a covered veranda. On the 1st floor there is a shower room and 2 bedrooms, a large double bedroom and a bedroom with bunk beds both with granite walls and exposed oak beams. These are heated for the cooler months. There is a separate patio with garden furniture, sun canopy and a BBQ

The Gardens:

There are two and a half acres of safe gardens with views over farmland. The communal patio area has a brick BBQ, the ideal place for parents to get to know one another, while the children play. We have had many an enjoyable evening with a BBQ and a few drinks. The heated above ground pool is made of teak to fit in with the surroundings in the orchard. The pool is open from May - September. The gardens are the ideal place to relax by the pool, have a picnic under a tree, or just sit and read a good book while drinking a glass a wine. There is a 14ft trampoline with safety nets, badminton, swings, boules, swing ball, football net, and basketball in the gardens, along with numerous games. In the covered veranda there is table soccer, table tennis and a darts board. The gardens are large and safe enough for children to play. Down the lane there is an 18 km Patrimoine walk through lovely countryside.

The Area:

Near to Mont Saint Michel, miles of sandy beaches, water parks, walking & cycle tracks, fishing, something for everyone in fact. Although we are in a quiet location, we are only 5 mins away from the village centre with its bar-tabac-restaurant-shop. And only 10 mins from Louvigne du Desert with its, shops, supermarkets and restaurants. Also nearby are attractions like Mont Saint Michel, water and floral parks, walking and cycle tracks, trout fishing, horse riding, canoeing, kayaking, Chateaux, and numerous places of interest. We are the ideal place for that weekend break, a house-hunting trip, that romantic getaway or that family holiday, group bookings also available. There really is something for everyone in this beautiful part of Brittany.

RENTAL TERMS & POLICIES

Prices: A 150€ deposit is required to secure your booking. A Booking Form with Terms and Conditions is available on request. The balance is due 8 weeks before arrival along with the 150€ security deposit. A 150€ security deposit is required per cottage, this will be refunded to you after you leave providing it has been left in a reasonable condition and there are no breakages. If the cottage has not been left in a reasonable condition then 75€ will be deducted to cover costs.

In the event of a non-insurable cancellation, refunds of amounts paid will be made if the owner is able to re-let the property, and any expenses or losses incurred in so doing will be deducted from the refundable amount. It is strongly recommended that the client should arrange a comprehensive travel insurance policy (including cancellation cover) and to have full cover for the party's belongings etc., since these are not covered by the owners insurance.
